Headonism: Milliner, Stephen Jones Speaks of His Collaboration with the British Fashion Council and Royal Ascot
London Fashion Week is over and the Headonism exhibition finished, until we welcome its installation at the racecourse over Royal Ascot.
In the mean time, the video footage below takes a tour of Headonism at Somerset House; hear the thoughts of Stephen Jones, the exhibiting milliners and Director of Hospitality at Ascot, Gary England.

After watching this video, with it's complete lack of female milliners, all I can wonder is how it was Juried/curated. Seems like quite the sausage fest! :(

ReplyDeleteThis slection of hats on show is not what royal ascot is about....the history and the charm about the whole event has not been captured....it is not creating hats for a high fashion shoot....it is about creating hats that celebrates women and the long history of fashion...... Bring back the classics....maybe it takes a female designer to fully understand the needs of women and fashion! Just a thought!
